Job Description :
Lead a team building and operating a new product:
- Design components & their integration, document the corresponding specifications, and lead the development tasks.
- Analyze the feasibility of, and refine requirements for, the system and ensure alignment with the overall architecture strategy.
- Ensure that the development team has the processes and tools needed to accomplish their work efficiently and effectively; escalate items when appropriate.
- Research marketplace for products, technologies, and processes that would support the overall architecture strategy and improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness.
Skills and Experience :
The ideal candidate should:
- Have experience in Amazon Web Services products (AWS), preferably IAM, S3, Cognito, ElasticBeanStalk, Lambda functions, and/or DynamoDB.
- Have Internet of Things (IoT) experience.
- Have full SDLC experience including operations or devops.
- Have mobile development experience, preferably Ionic and/or Cordova.
- Have experience in Java based web applications, including Tomcat and/or Spring.
- Have experience in Javascript, HTML5, CSS3, preferably angularjs.
- Have hands on experience in REST web services and publish/subscribe messaging & queuing.
- Have experience in RDBMS, SQL, and NoSQL DBMS with implications to application architectures.
- Have experience in scripting automation such as Ant, Maven Python, Chef, Puppet, Shell Scripts.
- Have experience with Eclipse IDE.
- Embrace modularity, reuse, and demonstrate a drive to leverage existing products / technologies / libraries.
- Demonstrate capability to learn new technologies and recognize & apply the underlying concepts.
- Be a self-starter & a self-learner.
- Have agile SDLC experience including operations and devops, configuration management, release management, and monitoring.
- Experience in (preferred) -or strong understanding of- security and regulation compliance implications to application architecture, including encryption, AAA, and certificates management.
